Emotional RegulationA natural capacity highlighted by Luc Nicon
Become autonomous – Children
Children are very attuned to their capacity to regulate their emotions and they can very easily and quickly learn how to use this natural capacity when in emotional difficulty.
On 20th February, in collaboration with Association Môm’artre, the Tipi Association will present to journalists a new workshop for children aged 5 to 10 years old where they can learn how to use their natural capacity for emotional regulation by themselves.
To mark the event, children who are registered to participate in Wednesday afternoon activities with Association Môm’artre in the 18th district in Paris will be invited to attend the first workshop.
In a workshop or individually,
using practical exercises,
always based on their own knowledge, experiences and thoughts,
children will investigate:
— What is an emotion?
— How does an unpleasant emotion manifest in the body?
— How do I regulate the signs of an unpleasant emotion in the body by using my hands to follow them?
— How do I know if an unpleasant emotion has been completely and permanently regulated?
Each child who participates in a workshop or individual session will receive a copy of the illustrated book “Même plus peur !” (“Not afraid any more!”) which they can read alone or with family and friends and which will help them revisit how to regulate unpleasant emotions.
Individually A 45-minute workshop for children to learn how to use their natural capacity to regulate their emotions in situation (in the moment they experience an unpleasant emotion).
This short workshop is provided by qualified professionals who have been trained specifically for this purpose. At the end of the training, your child will be able to permanently regulate his//her emotions in the moment they arise.
In a group (maximum 10 children)
